Funeral services were held in Veedersburg this afternoon for Mrs. Jane Dearing, age 82, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Pattengale in Flora, Sunday, while on a visit there. Interment was made south of Veedersburg.

Eliza Jane Minor, daughter of Malett and Phebe Minor was born February 28, 1849 about two miles west of Hillsboro, Fountain county, Indiana. She was united in marriage to Henry C. Dearing January 2 1873 and lived on a farm in the New Liberty neighborhood. To this union were born six daughters. Mr. Dearing passed away October 5 1898 when the youngest daughter was but five years of age. For the last twenty five years she has made her home with her children. Mrs. Dearing united with the New Liberty church October 18 1896 under the eldership of O. P. Warren, where she retained her membership until her death. She has always been an active and willing worked in the church, wherever she was, until the last few months when she was in failing health. Always a loving wife and mother and a generous, kind hearted neighbor, willing to do all in her power for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She leaves to mourn her death, four daughters, Mrs. Lillie Dyson of Danvers Illinois; Mrs. Ladoska Maffett and Mrs. Reed Janeway of Veedersburg and Mrs. Elzada Pattengale of Flora, Indiana; also six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Malina Talbert of Hagerstorn, Indiana, and Mrs. Rhoda Webster of Montezuma. Two brothers, Philip and John Minor, also two daughters, Mrs. Edith Goodner of Covington, Indiana, and Mrs. Arta Hancock of Mellott, Indiana, have preceded her in death. On February 1st Mrs. Dearing went to her daughters, Mrs. Pattengale, at Flora, where for the last six weeks she has been confined to her bed. Her final call to the Great Beyond came early Sunday, April 19th, 1931, at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 19 days. Buried Bonebrake Cem. Van Buren Twp, Fountain Co IN
